Auphonic Edit is an audio editor and recorder that prioritizes ease of use, high-quality audio, and stability. When combined with the integrated Auphonic web service, users can efficiently post-process, encode, tag, and publish podcasts, interviews, and music recordings with a single click on the go.

The app's recorder captures raw signals from any USB audio interface or the internal microphone without Android pre-processing. The audio can be saved in uncompressed (WAV) or compressed (AAC) formats to prevent data loss if the app is interrupted. The interface shows peak levels, available recording time, allows for adding/editing chapter markers, and records in the background while using other apps.

Audio editing on mobile phones can be challenging due to screen constraints. Auphonic Edit simplifies this by offering essential features necessary for common audio editing tasks while adhering to standard Android UI designs:

• Full waveform display with zooming, seeking, and scrolling capabilities
• Non-destructive editing with cut files and automatic crossfades, copy/paste functions (also between different audio sessions), and the ability to restore cut regions/files
• Create markers, selections, file objects for precise navigation and editing

To access the web service features, a free Auphonic account is required. However, all native recording, editing, and sharing functions can be utilized offline without an account.
